Troyer's History
The Company
Troyer's was founded in 1948 in Vandalia, Michigan by Al and Elroy Troyer as a revolutionary new way to market poultry to restaurants and grocery stores with a goal to make "quality and service" and the customer's "ever changing needs" the highest priority.
In the 1950's and 1960's this concept boomed and new markets were opened due to the expansion of the fast food industry. Troyer's expanded their product line to include turkey; and other poultry products, breading, shortenings, french fries and more.
This wasn't the end, however. The industry continued to prosper. During the 1970's and 1980's Troyer's dramatically expanded their inventory to include fresh and processed pork, boxed beef, deli and bakery items, seafood, and other frozen food items.
Through the use of their large modern truck fleet and coordination with over 200 well known vendors, Troyer's is able to supply an area 300 miles from their base in Goshen, Indiana. State of the art shipping methods and facilities are utilized to streamline the process, minimize errors, and increase punctuality.
Our experienced buyers work with both vendors and sales representatives. They work to ensure that the quality and quantities are available.
